Odd1Out #2 - Maths Talk Time
This is a resource that has worked really well in my class. My students have really enjoyed it.
The aim of this resource is encourage students to use the maths language that they know, extend on their current maths vocabulary, find mathematical links in the world around them and open up mathematical discussions in the class.
Simply ask the pupils to pick the Odd1Out. There are multiple answers to suit a range of abilities.
My students love this resource because they can all find an answer.
I believe it also encourages the students to listen to each other as we often found that there is always one student who thinks way outside the box and comes up with an answer that none of us thought of ... including me!
