Movement & Sensory Break Activity Programme
This resource has been designed by a Special Education Teacher for children who require sensory/movement breaks from the classroom. The resource contains weekly activities and ideas for the entire school year that the SEN Teacher/Class Teacher can use as a specialised resource programme for children with SEN or children who may struggle to concentrate in class and simply require a movement/sensory break during the school day. The plan is easy to use, contains lots of visuals and can be implemented by the SNA, where appropriate, and can support the IPLP/IEP/Student-Support-File planning process also. This resource helps put a clear structure and plan on movement/sensory breaks and includes fine and gross motor-related SMART targets, which can also be used to help guide the process of setting physical-related targets for children with such needs.
This resource can be used for all ages and can be used at all class levels. It can also be used as a specialised plan for P.E.
