Five detailed lesson plans on the topic of length for third or fourth class.

Lessons include group work, active learning and problem solving where the focus is on getting children to estimate and measure the length of real world objects and to rename them in decimal form.

Tips for differentiation and higher/lower order questions are also included. 

Lessons will complement any maths programme already in use within the school.

Lessons are loosely linked to themes of 'clothing' and 'school' but could be adapted to suit many other themes if necessary.
