ASD Sensory needs planning, observations and activity suggestions
A list of senses, examples of how a child may behave if over or under stimulated, what to look out for and examples of exercises/thing to do to support a child and develop a sensory diet.
A section in each to write which of your children are displaying these sensory input needs and a chart on which to graph it.
Put initials of children on the top line and highlight the boxes that you recognise in these children, then create a sensory diet/plan individualised for each child.
An example of a sensory diet programme/list of activities that I use with my class each morning and afternoon to help keep children regulated (based on my children's specific needs and in addition to sensory, movement and OT breaks throughout the day when requested and when needed) and I change the activities fortnightly.
