Assessment grids I used with 4th class during my Dip last year for English grammar with content objectives included. One grid per theme. Suitable to use ticks or traffic lights on. Assessment folder commended highly by inspector. These were my main English assessments for grammar. (I used downloadable checklists and photocopies for writing/reading/oral lang).
Grids and objectives for:
September & October: Capitals, full stops, exclamation marks, singular/plural, past tense.
November: Past tense, Future tense, commas, compound words
December: Compound words, A or An
January: Pronouns, Contractions, Prepositions, Alphabetical order
February: Punctuation marks, Dictionary work
March: Adverbs, Homophones
April: Prefixes, Suffixes, Apostrophes, Commas
May: Connectives, Bossy Verbs, Antonyms
June: Synonyms, Comparatives, Superlatives
