Ancient Egypt Drama Lessons
This fantastic resource contains 3 drama lessons all available on Google Slides. Each lesson is designed to be used in a virtual, blended, or in-person classroom.
These lessons teach the class about Howard Carter's search for the tomb of Tutankhamun. It includes a variety of activities and differentiated questions to engage the learners.
Lesson 1: Introduces Howard Carter. This lesson contains plenty of information and discussion points. The activity requires students to complete an in-role writing exercise with a choice between 3 characters.
Lesson 2: Get warmed up for this lesson with a Just Dance "Walk Like an Egyptian" before being introduced to the cast. Students will then have the opportunity to perform a short script leading up to the point before entering the tomb.
Lesson 3: This lesson sees the class split into groups and write what they think will happen next in the script. Each group then gets the opportunity to perform their script.
This is a lesson I made for my class. Not only did they love the opportunity to act, but they also came away learning lots of history too.
