Tricky Word Lists (1,2,3,4,5,6 Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, Pink and Brown)

Sight Word Games: Snap / Go Fish

Alternatively can print onto coloured card for homework or in class practice and activities

In this pack you will find all six groups of tricky words (blue, yellow, red, green, pink and brown lists) that I have made into lists and go in conjunction with the tricky words programme. No colours have been added to the lists as I found a lot of my students struggled to recognize tricky/sight words in different contexts and forms, and I didn't want them relying on colours to read the words. The flashcards/lists can be cut out and used for "Snap" or for "Go Fish". My students really enjoy getting into pairs with half a deck each and playing Snap or laying the flashcards upside down on the table and turning two over at a time to see if they can match and make a pair. To play Go Fish I think it is best to print the flashcards on card so the children cannot see the words through the back of the paper and also print one list on one page side by side to save on paper (see image).

I hope your students enjoy these games whilst learning their tricky/sight words.
