Every teacher who works with students on the spectrum knows the value of a token economy to help get through those more ‘challenging’ pieces of work. This one has 5 spaces for tokens which suits younger learners or some learners with more complex needs.
Choice boards are said to help to motivate and direct students towards an end goal. Here, there are spaces for 3 choices, which I have seen to be plenty.
A first-next-then board helps to keep pupils on task by showing them visually the activity plan they are following. I like to follow work periods with a 'choice' period or a preferred activity!
I have combined the three onto this handy A4 sheet which can be laminated and kept near a student to help to keep them motivated and on task!
Laminate for extended use and attach tokens with velcro.
Tried and tested in a very busy ASD Classroom!
