- version one - read, write and draw (one decodable sentence per page)
- version two - read, unjumble the sentence (cut and paste activity) and draw the meaning of the sentence
- phonic list to show how the words are developed
- teacher checklist for each sentence - read the sentence and write the sentence (one checklist per level)
- ten levels in total
- word structure is developmental (e.g. vc, cvc, cvcc, ccvc, ccvcc & cccvc)
- very few tricky words in entire package (e.g. is, the)
- print for the entire year!
- visual icons are used for each task (read, draw, cut) - this makes it more straight forward for students with reading or learning disabilities.
- great for teachers, tutors, learning centres, speech therapists and homeschooling!
I use both versions for my class each week. Version one is used first as it is slightly easier and then version two. This is an activity that I use following explicit phonic instruction. Students do these as independent activity rotations. I hope you find them useful!
