Social story on seeking clarification/ not understanding what the teacher says
A 2 page social story for a child who has receptive language difficulties (or an English language learner), to help them learn the strategy of asking for clarification about what has been said or to ask for it to be repeated. Also includes 2 visual cue cards that you can print out, laminate and display on the child's desk as a reminder for them to use the strategy.
Social stories are most effective when photographs of the child, their teacher, classroom etc. are included, so spaces have been left to indicate where photographs would be appropriate.
