This five week literacy plan uses the New Curriculum Format. The plan includes nursery rhymes, phonics (Jolly Phonics Pupil Book and My Spelling Workbook), along with Listening and Concentration Games. A page of listening and concentration games is also included. This plan is also suited to schools who are part of the GAELTACHT SCHOOL RECOGNITION SCHEME and their Senior Infants might only be starting English this year.

The plans covers nursery rhymes, rhyming words, phonics, listening and concentration games, beginning letter sounds. Based on workbooks Jolly Phonics Pupil Book 1 and My Spelling Workbook. The five week plan is revision of sounds covered in Junior Infants, giving the children a better understanding and grasp of phonics to help them with their blending and reading. A page of listening and concentration games is also included. This plan is also suited to schools who are part of the GAELTACHT SCHOOL RECOGNITION SCHEME and their Senior Infants might only be starting English this year.
