Secret Sound
I like to use these ‘Secret Sound’ after I have taught each sound or to recap sounds. These worksheets work on the children’s handwriting, blending, tricky words, reading and letter sounds. I like to use this resource with magnifying glasses to add an element of fun but of course they’re not 100% necessary.
The children identify or search for the secret sound using magnifying glasses (written at the top of the page). They circle the words with the sound which can be in the beginning, middle or end of the words, then read the words and finally write the words with the sound at the bottom.
