Rekenrek Addition 90 to 100 using bonds to 10

Rekenrek Addition 90 to 100 using bonds to 10

        SKU: fb824502be3f55af794099afdb9bf0f6

These task cards are designed to help students visualise, understand and practise making 10 when adding between 90 and 100.  Being able to make 10 is of fundamental importance when learning to add, not just for single figures, but also as a foundation for bridging to 10 and other, more complex mathematical concepts.  Children can see, show and trace the relevant numbers.  The cards can be laminated and re-used until children are familiar with the number bonds and number formation.

The cards can be used as part of a whole-class activity, in small groups, centers or independently to build fluency. They are ideal for use with children with dyscalculia, dyslexia, visual learners or as part of basket work in a class for children with Autism.

By incorporating the Rekenrek, students not only recognize numbers but also deepen their understanding of the relationship between numbers and quantities. The cards are part of a comprehensive and wider set of task cards that harness the potential of the Rekenrek to explore recognition of number to 100 and addition and subtraction.
