I use the log to assign daily reading, especially handy during reading intervention programmes, e.g. Literacy Lift Off, but I also use these for regular weekly reading. They are also a great record for assessment.

Minutes spent reading and parents signature boxes help ensure motivation and participation at home.
When printing: first page is the cover page - this can be printed on card if desired. Children can draw in a picture or teacher can paste in clip art here for individual logs. The second page is the insert for the books - print this back to back (flip page on short edge).
