Writing Genre Rubric – Persuasive

This is an assessment tool for the persuasive writing genre.

– It can be used by the teacher to correct the child’s writing or can be used by the children to assess their own writing

– It assesses the writing under the following criteria: presentation, structure, capital letters, punctuation, argument and sentence starters,

– I have used this with fourth class but it can be used with third, fifth and sixth. I would get the children to stick it into their copy so that they could refer to it as they were doing their writing.
