Stages of Adulthood

Developments tasks of early adulthood include selecting a mate, learning to live with a marriage partner, starting a family, rearing children, managing a home, getting started in an occupation, taking on civic responsibility and finding a congenial/workable group. This is an important stage because it is the period when major decisions are made that will determine the nature of later adulthood.
