This plan is simple and clear to follow. It covers three weeks from 4th Dec – 22nd Dec, showing in detail what is to be covered each day Mon- Thurs (leaving Fri for revision, catch up, games, rehearsals etc). The plan shows the strands, Elements, Learning Outcomes and also has a box for the teacher to initial and tick. The plan shows the resources, methodologies, assessments, differentiation and areas that will be covered.

The plan covers nursery rhymes, Spellbound A Units 4-7, Jolly Phonics Workbook 2, Dictation, Oxford Reading, Games and Station Teaching (every Thursday).

The plan is revision of sounds covered in Junior Infants, while building their word bank and practising their CVC words. It gives the children a better understanding and grasp of phonics to help them with their blending and reading. The plan is also suited to schools who are part of the GAELTACHT SCHOOL RECOGNITION SCHEME and their Senior Infants might only be starting English this year.

Also included are the listening and concentration games.
