Description
We use this phonics baseline to assess which phase the children are on, and then can plan to meet their needs accordingly. We test the children in September, December, March and then June using the same test to measure their progress.
We actually use the same document each time we test them. So for instance, if a child can complete all of phase 2 sounds in September, then when you test them again you don’t need to repeat these sounds, you just carry on from where they left off. We find it very useful for meeting the needs and tracking progress also. Any questions, please ask me.
