This is a fortnightly planning template for English based on the New Primary Language Curriculum (PLC).
I created this template based on the suggestions from the PDST’s planning templates for the new Curriculum.
However, I did not find the PDST templates clear enough or easy to use so I have spent approximately 20 hours working on my own template.
Planning for the new curriculum can appear quite daunting at first and there is a lot of new terminology, so I have written a quick guide to using the planning template and have included it with this plan.

The layout of this plan is suitable for any class using the New Language Curriculum from Junior Infants – Second Class. It is also very suitable for multi-class planning due to section for outlining the progression milestones and steps for different groups in the class.

I have included a blank version of the planning template that you can fill out for your own class. I have also included a sample plan with content for First Class so you will see how to use it.

I also have a fortnightly planning template for Gaeilge for the New Primary Language Curriculum on sale separately if you are interested here:

A huge amount of time and effort was put into this plan and I am confident you will be happy with your purchase. Positive reviews are very much appreciated to let other users know that this is a quality plan. If you purchase and take the time to review this product, as a thank you I will send you a sample first/ second class or Infants timetable AND a comprehensive 6 page integration plan suggesting themes for the year and how different subjects can be integrated into these themes, or if you teach infants, I will send you a yearly Aistear plan with suggested stations and themes.

Thank you!

I bought this fortnightly plan because I was impressed by the long term plans and I was not disappointing. I teach in a special class setting and the way this teacher has set up the plan will really helps track for individual needs or a multi- class setting. Again, save me hours of work. Thank you.
