A humourous retelling of Na Trí Mhuc suitable for 5th and 6th class children. This drama provides the children with a fun and engaging way to challenge themselves and increase their level of competency in reading/listening/comprehending and performing trí Gaeilge using a familiar story. The drama has six roles.The wolf, pigs 1, 2 and 3, the class as a group and a narrator who chips in every now and then to make a funny observation. The Gaeilge in this drama will provide opportunities for differentiation, especially when allocating roles. Difficult or challenging vocabulary or phrases are highlighted in the text, which is largely spaced to enable children to write translations above the text if necessary. Included with this drama is an English translation for teacher use and an illustrated character list which could be used as flashcards to allocate roles or for improvisation and role playing.
