Description
Included is a selection of full colour compound words and eco colour compound words. They are A4 in size to be used for a display or as a teaching aid but can be easily be printed smaller to be used by the children for a variety of games.
To support the teaching of compound words there are some activities including:
– an interactive booklet. When assembled together the flaps lift up to revel the 2 words that make the compound word on the front
– a matching worksheet
-a wordsearch
-a literacy station activity – picture cards with space underneath for the words that make the compound word. Simply print the picture cards and words and allow the children to match the words to their compound word. This jigsaw style activity is easy to create and one children can engage with independently.
