A set of planning to incorporate fine and gross motor skills into every school day.
This is the plan I use for September ( I vary it and add new activities each month). Visiting OT’s through out the year liked the structure and variation of our activities (which children learned how to set up and complete themselves even in free and choice time or as reinforcements.)
The document includes 1 sheet of planning for 3 groups over 4 weeks and 3 pages of explanation of each activity spread across 5 areas: cutting, Art, squeezing, games and play dough. We spend 15 minutes each morning doing these exercises to improve FMS and GMS. Each activity is described in detail and resources mentioned to support implementing it in any class.
