This is an animated PowerPoint that looks at the life and work of Andy Warhol. The lesson discusses the use of Print, identifying everyday accessible objects that can found around the home and used for Print art. The lesson also looks at Pop Art, discussing the use of colour and Roy Lichtenstein’s Ben Day Dots to look and respond to a new era of art. Online platforms such as Padlet could be used through online learning to allow the children to find, observe and discuss the works of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein further. The PowerPoint has the added bonus of YouTube videos linked to corresponding slides to observe and discuss the use of Print and Pop Art further. This lesson was created with the aim of online learning in mind to create a fun learning environment for the children and teacher. The last slide provides 3 activities/ideas for the children to create, incorporating Print and Pop Art.
