Description
This is a lighthearted, tongue in cheek rhyming Christmas play. It opens with a debate in Dáil Eireann. The government are unable to agree on whether Santa should be allowed to break the travel restrictions in order to deliver his presents to the children of Ireland on Christmas Eve. A debate ensues. Meanwhile at the North Pole, Santa is showing flu like symptoms. It is up to Mrs Claus, with the help of others, such as the president of Ireland to save the day.
It is suitable for 3rd, 4th or 5th class. There are parts for 20 to 30 children.
It is approximately 15 to 20 minutes long.
The play can easily be split up so that each pod does their own scene.
Pod 1: scene 1.
Pod 2: scene 2 and 3
Pod 3: scene 4.
Pod 4: scene 5
Pod 5: narrators throughout and closing scene.
