Reading Dairy Reading Log, Note to Parents and Sticker/Stamper Book
This is a reading diary / log which is ready to print. Simply edit and add in your class level and the class teacher's name on the cover page and on the note to parents on the first page and print. This booklet has a note to parents emphasising the importance of daily reading practice.

Reading log suitable for infants-2nd Class. This resource contains an editable note to parents on page one which highlights the importance of daily reading practice as well as effective questioning to assess comprehension and develop recall and memory.
Print page one and two on one sheet of paper and fold. And do the same for the centre pages. Contains middle pages where the date, title of book read, parent comment can be recorded. Also includes a grid for stickers or reward stampers as an incentive for children to read. This is a useful log for children as they can look back at the titles of the books read and see their progression through the levels of their reading scheme. It also allows them to check back through their list of books read if they are unsure if they have read a particular book. I have a prize box in my class and the children can choose a prize once they have reached twenty stickers/stampers on their sticker chart in their reading diary. They can monitor this by counting the titles they have read and checking that they have the corresponding number of stamps/stickers. I find that the counting and recording of books read is a good skill to develop in infants also. Happy Reading!
