NO DRAMA Llama

A ready-to-teach seasonal Woodland Animals theme English/SESE lesson. This resource includes detailed step-by-step lesson plan, PowerPoint, animal fact files, Pelmanism printable game (in English and Irish) and suggestions for cross-curriculum extension activities.

In lesson one, your students use the PowerPoint as a stimulus to discuss the woodland animals of Ireland (with vocabulary in English and Irish). They discuss what they know about the animals and hibernation and play a Pelmanism card game matching pictures to words.

Students are then given guidelines for project work – either simple fact files or poster presentations. This lesson could be extended to cover several lessons of research and fact finding for the projects. Length of the scheme will depend on age/levels/interests of the class/teacher preference/time available/depth of study required.

This is a ready to use resource with beautiful images to stimulate and engage. Appropriate for 1st to 6th class.

This resource was created with the aim of saving you time and creating enjoyable, inspiring lessons for your class to enjoy. Feedback welcomed along with suggestions of lessons you would like to see! Thanks for looking.
