Sample Infant Timetable - Junior infants - Senior Infants - Multi-class infants timetable Example
It can seem near impossible to fit everything in when creating a timetable for infants with the shorter day. In this purchase I have included sample timetables for what an infant day might look like. There is a sample timetable which includes Aistear and one that does not. Information on the DoES recommended time allocations are included.
There are also sample timetables for Junior Infants and a multi-class Infants for the first 4 weeks of school. The timetables accounts for the Junior Infants starting on a shorter day and a gradual increase each week to the full infant day over the course of the month.

Note: The Primary Curriculum Framework was released in 2023 and it sets out suggested revised time allocations for when the new curriculum is implemented in full. At present, the subject specifications for Wellbeing, Science, Technology and Engineering, Arts Education, and Social and Environmental Education are still in draft format. These specifications are not being rolled out during the 2024/2025 school year and hence, the new time allocations are not in place yet. Therefore, the sample timetables above are based on the existing time allocations and not those suggested in the PCF. Click here to see the current subject time allocations from the Department are.
