This eight page weekly scheme includes an individual reading scheme for the letters p and n, a writing scheme for the letters p and n, and an oral language scheme under the theme of transport and travel. This scheme could easily be adapted to suit the teaching and learning of any letters under the Jolly Phonics programme (not just p and n), and presents ideas and a structure that can be used right across the English language curriculum. This scheme is so detailed that it essentially provides a weekly scheme but also, five lesson plans within it to cover the English Strands of reading, writing and oral language. It engages with the Jolly Phonics programme material that is used widely to teach children their letter formation and sounds. The activities are engaging, fun and active for the children, and proved high effective in getting Junior Infant children started with their phonics, or revising sounds and letters with Senior Infants.
