This week, children will continue to focus on ‘Gorilla’ by Anthony Browne, ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ by Judith Kerr as well as the well-known story ‘There’s No Such Thing As A Dragon’ by Jack Kent. Using these stories, they will begin to develop ideas, plan and write their own stories using the character that they created at the end of week 1. During lesson 3, they will also have fun playing a board game with a partner as they practise reading and spelling words containing the /j/ phoneme!
