STEM eyes
In my MA research study, I found that many children didn't realise the prevalence of STEM in their everyday lives and didn't notice that some things they love to do actually involve STEM skills! Their lack of awareness of how STEM presents in real life means that less children aspire to STEM careers as they fail to make the connection.
So, I created this presentation as a stimulus to get children seeing STEM in their day to day lives. They were also given the challenge to take a picture outside of school and explain the STEM elements of the picture to the class. This could be completed as part of a oral language or science lesson.
