Place Value: Identifying, Sorting, Creating and Notating numbers activities
This resource contains a set of cards to support and develop the understanding of place value. They help to visually represent the value of the digits within a number and can be used as an individual, group work or whole class activity. These can also work as partitioning cards to illustrate how numbers can be partitioned in standard and non-standard ways. Included are:
- Partitioning Title Cards
- Sets of number cards to show the different value of each digit within numbers - hundred thousands, ten thousands, thousands, hundreds, tens, units, tenths, hundredths and thousandths.
- The cards are laid out in a print-friendly version - they can be printed on to coloured card for differentiation purposes.
