1. Print, laminate & cut to make cards. Mix & Match to suit your students.
2. Pile the cards together and have the students select a card in round robin format. Each student reads their card out loud. If read correctly they keep the card, if not, they return it to the pile. Continue until all the cards are gone. The player with the most cards wins.
3. Add in the trick cards for extra fun. These cards also allow struggling readers a chance to gain cards.
4. Mix & Match with Sight words or Words of the Week as an extension!
Tried & Tested! The students LOVED this game. Adding the trick cards made it fun and added an element of luck.
