English: Oral Language: Discussing ‘The Little Red Hen’, Reading: ‘The Little Red Hen modelled by the teacher’, Writing: word families: -ed words, freewriting,

History: The journey of milk from the farm to the fridge, and how it gets to the supermarket.

Geography: The children will be exploring the role of the farmer in their local community.

PE: Dance: The children will be learning the birdy dance and performing it as a group.

SPHE: The children will be learning about farm safety.

Visual Arts: The children will create sheep inspired by the theme ‘Farm Animals’. 

Drama: Drama to explore feelings, knowledge and ideas. Based on ‘The Little Red Hen’ – teacher in role, children in role as the characters from the story. 

Music: Playing instruments. Singing songs. ‘The Little Red Hen’ song.

Religion/Ethical Education: The children will learn that in November we remember the dead/ someone who is in heaven. The children will recap on a prayer that they are learning (Grace Before Meals). The children will draw & colour a person/angel (s) who is in heaven.
