***Free Download*** Reflection Sheet
***Please leave a rating, review or comment if you find this useful :) ***
I’ve always used behaviour reflection sheets in my own classroom. After an undesirable behaviour the child can sort down to fill out this reflection page. The teacher can scribe if needed.
The idea is to help children see which class/school expectation there is an issue with and to acknowledge how they feel now and how others may be feeling.
Usually these would be tailored exactly and mirror the wording of the class expectations. I would usually make these in the first few days in consultation with my class and then create a more specific behaviour reflection form.
At the bottom there is space for three separate signatures, one for the child, one for the teacher and, if needed, a parent. We sign this together once we’ve talked through this issue and are happy with a plan of what we can do to make the situation better.
We try to arrange a check in over the course of the day/following days to see have the child’s feelings changes and have they tried to apologise/fix the issue in that time. When we’re happy we’ve worked on this we say goodbye to the issue and the sheet.
I would keep these on file in the children’s assessment folders over the year just as a record of interactions etc.
(There is another free version more tailored to the senior classes also available on my mash.ie and TPT stories)
