The Little Matchstick Girl Re-imagined
Firstly, thank you all so much for your interest in the Script.
This Christmas play is based on the character of Anabel McKenna, a ten year old girl who is driven to the streets by her unkind father to sell matchsticks in return for food. Throughout the story, she meets unsavoury characters who try to steal her magic matchsticks and make life difficult for her. She is confronted with the worst kind of humanity and must rely on her new friend Michael and her fairy god-mothers to aid her in her survival.
This play is filled with magical moments of comedy and wit and is guaranteed to ignite the imaginations of your class and audience.
This play has 27 speaking parts (which can be extended to 30). This play is suited for children from 2nd to 6th class.

The children really enjoyed putting on this play as there was a part/a role for everyone in the class. Music and backdrops are the cherry on top.
