Primary Language Curriculum PLC Fortnightly Plan Template and Sample for English and Irish
This template for short term recorded preparation makes planning for English and Irish using the Primary Language Curriculum (PLC) easy. It it is suitable for all classes from Infants – 6th class, and also includes a version for multi-class planning.
These templates have been updated to reflect the most recent September 2019 version of the PLC and to reflect the 2021 Preparation for Teaching and Learning Guidance for all Primary and Special Schools. They contain the sections/ headings recommended in the guidance.

- Suitable for fortnightly or weekly planning.
- Fully editable Microsoft Word documents that you can change to suit your needs.
- Notes with guidance on planning using the PLC are included.
- Included are blank versions of the templates that you can fill out for your own class. Also included is a sample of the template filled in with content for First Class so you will see how to use it. The sample completed plan is for illustrative purposes on how to fill out the plan only, and so sample plans for other class levels have not been included.
Note: Our Short Term Recorded Preparation Template for all subjects also includes a section for planning using the PLC, however this is an alternative version which has been created with the aim of making PLC planning even easier and faster.

This planning document has saved me hours from the planning point of view. It is very clear and a sample is also included which is an excellent guide to filling in your own template.
