Don't Say It! - This oral language game is a great filler activity or brain break for the classroom. It is especially useful over Halloween when there are lots of different activities or dress up days happening and you need to fill a few minutes and engage students. For the game a student is chosen to stand with their back to the interactive board, when they have done this the teacher can show one of the slides to the rest of the class. The class take it in turns to give the student hints about what is on the board. The students can't say what the picture is and they can't say any of the words related to it mentioned on the board. The student then has to try and guess the picture in as few tries as possible. This slideshow does not have to be used as a game all in one go, but rather a couple of slides here an there as you feel your students need a brain break or you have a spare few minutes between activities.

Halloween Would You Rather? - this game is an ideal movement break for the classroom. Students move from one side of the class to the other depending on their answer to the question. You can choose 2 or 3 questions at time in between lessons.
A fun game that works for all age levels from infants, right up to 6th class.  A great resource to have handy for subbing or when on school placement if you find you have an extra few minutes in the middle of the day in October. Would you rather can be used so many ways in the classroom including for debates, persuasive writing, class discussions or even to graph the results.

Oíche Shamhna Games - 10 Games included: I Spy - 2 different versions, Pop - students pick out pieces of popcorn from a bag, if it has an oíche shamhna word on it the student reads the word and gets to keep the piece, if the student picks out a piece with POP! on it, they put all of their pieces back into the bag. The person with the most pieces at the end of the game is the winner. Connect 4 - students roll a dice and read a word along that number, they cover it with a counter when they say it correctly, first to connect 4 in a row wins Jenga cards - using coloured blocks of Jenga, students pick a card and say the word on the card, if they say or read the correct word, they can take out the block of the same colour, if not they pick a card of a different colour and can then remove that block. Loop Game - each student receives cards, the person with the first card reads it out and asks who has the next card, the game continues until the loop is completed.
Matching Game - On one card is a picture, the other is the word, cards are turned over on the table, and students take turns to try and find a pair. Picture & Vocabulary Cards - When printed twice, these can be used for games like snap or go fish.
