World Bee Day 2024
World Bee Day is celebrated on May 20th every year and I think it is important to teach the children about the important job bees do - which fits in nicely with this year's theme 'Bee engaged with Youth'.
This World Bee Day Digital resource is full of links to free resources on the web to support teaching this topic in the classroom in a fun and engaging way.
There are over 30 links including Books, cartoons and informational videos, facts, posters, crafts, book templates, puzzles, music and much more. Each hexagon of the honeycomb is a clickable link and each bee will also bring you to some yoga, mindfulness or colouring sheets. Each word in the title will also bring you to information - there are links everywhere! (Check out the red circled image).
The Project Templates in the final hexagon is a honeycomb template for children to write and decorate facts learned all about bees. Check out my Instagram for an example of how I used this template in 2021.
I love having all the links in one place even if I only use 2 or 3, there's something to suit all ages and it look great and works great on the IWB.
