Based on the popular card game Top Trumps.
Created to support the learning and revising of 2D and 3D shapes, this template includes both 2D and 3D shape cards in English and Irish.
- Identifying, describing and classifying shapes
- Exploring, describing and comparing shape properties
Involving the children in filling in the shape properties on these cards themselves is such an important step. Each child makes their own game and can play against a friend in school and at home too. They simply choose a property and say its number. If it is bigger than their opponents property for their shape they win both cards, if not they must hand their card over to their opponent.
It's a good idea to print each game on a different coloured card so as not to mix them up.
Print 2 sided so on one side there is a cover/back and the other side has the shape and properties. Cut each page in 4.
