Gaeilge - Oíche Shamhna - Scéal a Scríobh
Caith an Scéal Oíche Shamhna - roll and write a Halloween story! Based on simple story structure involving character, setting, problem and solution!
This resource could be used orally to practice speaking and using the language, or as a written exercise task! It's so much fun coming up with some ridiculous stories and gives learners the chance to get involved, be creative and practice their Gaeilge! It can be used at lots of different class levels when slightly tweaked to meet abilities! I have based this resource on the past tense, but it also could be adapted to utilise other tenses!
Includes:
- 'Caith an Scéal' ('Roll the Story') mat in PDF (could be used as a Powerpoint display for a wholeclass lesson, or printed out for group/individual work!)
- Example of how to structure the story with basic sentence starters and one sample story (in PDF).
- Plean don Scéal (Story planner) in PDF (arranged 2 on a page) so learners can record the results of their rolls before they set out to dream up, write and edit their stories!
