Game can be played in pairs or groups.
(Print using white card)
There are 56 cards in a set. There are two cards of each clothes/item in each set. 28 different types clothes/items.
How to play:
1. Give a set of cards to each group (x56). Note: Smaller decks can be used for younger class.ie set of 24 with 12 vocabulary words.
2. Daltaí will shuffle the cards and divide them among their pair/group.
3. Pupils will hold their cards face down on their hands.
4. Pupils will take turns to take the card at the top of their own pile and place it face up in the middle of the table. Pupils have to say the item they put down. Example: bróga reatha, geansaí peile, hata, cóta.
(For older classes, pupil are encouraged to say a simple sentence e.g Caithim geansaí peile/ Is maith liom t-léine etc
5. The objective is to match 2 cards that are the same. If a person puts a card face down on top of another card that is the same then they must shout "SNAP" to win and collect all the cards in the middle pile. If they do not shout "SNAP", the game continues until another person shouts "SNAP" on a matching pair.
6. The daltaí will continue to play in turns until there is only 1 dalta left with all the cards.
