I like to use this resource with dominos, counters and toy cars. The children pick a domino/counter/car. The children identify the number on the domino/counter/car. The children then find the matching car park spot for that domino/counter/car. The children then pick the next number. When the car park is full the children can count all of their cars both counting forwards and backwards. This opens up a lot of room for number discussion for example – if one car drives away how many cars do I have left? This resource can also be used for identifying colour for example the green car is in car park space 10 etc. Etc. This activity can be used both whole class and in small groups.
