About Me

I have been a longtime teacher, and I have worked in both England and Ireland. I have also acquired training in playtherapy. I love stories, and I am passionate about the need for children to be exposed to as much story as possible, fiction and non-fiction. The higher the quality of writing the better. Story is also a great teaching tool. Therapeutic stories have long been used to help children process emotions. Drama is another love of mine. Educational drama, or process drama as we do in Ireland is great fun in its own right, but it's also a way of internalising learning, achieving learning above and beyond what role play can do.
