Sound Letter Correspondence Checklist
As a Special Education Teacher working with children with additional needs, I noticed that some children know their sounds very well but do not make the connection with the written symbol (letter). This is crucial for spelling and writing. This simple checklist helps teachers to identify what sound-letter correspondence children can make and also what needs more work and consolidation. The document caters for three assessments, helping teachers keep track of the children's progress over time. There is also a section for observations that way be worth noting during assessment.
