Four humorous, 4-line verses about familiar topics, to help get children reading for pleasure. They are all written by me, the contributor. These funny, punchy rhymes support all-round literacy, including listening, reading and performance skills, awareness of rhyme, rhythm and other poetic elements. They may also inspire children to have a go at rhyming, themselves. Learning through laughter is a great approach to literacy and to many other aspects of education.
