POETRY - "LUNCHBOX BLUES" - POEM, PLAN, 3 WORKSHEETS AND AUDIO
@GEpoetryandprints we share original poems with very detailed teaching plans, worksheets and audio for the children to listen to. All plans include the new Primary Language Curriculum - strands, elements and learning outcomes. This poem "Lunchbox Blues" by Geraldine Galligan is a fun poem to open up class discussions about healthy and unhealthy food. The plan gives lots of discussion ideas, with pre-reading oral work and questions for the main body of the work. The pack comes with three worksheets (1) creating a super duper sandwich (2) a food flow chart and (3) drawing the food in their dream lunch box. We have also included the audio for the poem, so the children can listen to the poet read her own poem.
We hope you enjoy the lesson ;-) We've lots of more poems to share, so make sure to pop back and check out our shop x
